This Spiced Apple Ginger Rum Cocktail is the result of spending one morning experimenting in the bar trying to come up with something different using the random bottles of booze I’ve accumulated. The apple cider, ginger and vanilla liqueurs and spices make this a delicious Fall/Winter cocktail. I was happy with my experiment on this one, some of the others I tried…not so much!
Now, I suppose you could call this drink a martini and serve it in a martini glass.
But since I decided to change things up a bit and used rum instead of vodka, and also poured it over ice, I’m calling this drink a cocktail instead. Either way you serve it, it’s delicious.
- 2 parts rum
- 1 part ginger liqueur
- ½ part vanilla liqueur
- 2 parts apple cider
- couple shakes of cinnamon
- couple shakes of nutmeg (I used fresh and grated it on a zester)
- Combine ingredients in cocktail shaker, shake well, then strain into preferred glass, martini or over ice.
