Whiskey Fig Martini

  • 3 shots of your favorite whiskey (or bourbon)
  • 2 Tbls. fig preserves*
  • Juice from 1 lemon
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 1 sprig of thyme
  • pinch of cinnamon


  1. Combine ingredients in cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into one large or two small martini glasses, or if you prefer, a rocks glass with ice. Garnish with additional sprig of thyme and/or lemon peel.



*To make roasted fig preserves, slice several figs in half, drizzle with some maple syrup, honey or brown sugar, a sprinkle of salt and fresh thyme.  Broil in oven about 5-8 minutes, until they they get soft and golden.  Let cool and remove pulp.

If you don’t want to go to the trouble to make roasted figs, use fig preserves from the store.
