We made it! Last day of my 12 Days of Christmas Cocktails series. Hope everyone gets to enjoy some quality family time, and Santa brings lots of goodies this year. I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays with this Berry Merry Christmas Martini.
This is one of those cocktails, like my Cranberry Thyme cocktail from Day 1, that you can serve either martini style or on the rocks like a fizz, cooler, spritzer or whatever else you want to call it. Martini form will obviously be a little stronger since there’s less club soda in it. If you want to put it in a tall glass with ice you can do that too. Just add everything except club soda to a shaker, shake and pour into a tall glass with ice, then top ‘er off with as much club soda as you want.
This cocktail gets it’s berry flavor from Chambord, a raspberry liqueur. I also added a bit of grenadine to make it really red. And since I love a berry/lemonade combo I thought I’d try some of my homemade Limoncello with this. It’s a really great combination! If you don’t have Limoncello you can squeeze some lemon juice in the cocktail. It will be a bit less sweet but you can sweeten it up more if you like with more grenadine. I found some pretty silver sugar sprinkles at the grocery store so I rimmed the glass with it. You could use regular sugar or none at all, up to you. And since it’s Christmas, I added a sprig of mint to garnish the cocktail and add some green. I think it makes this Berry Merry Christmas Martini really pretty for the holiday with the red and green colors…again, totally optional.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
