Basil-Infused Simple Syrup:

water

granulated sugar
Handful of fresh basil leaves

Instructions
Prepare Basil-Infused Simple Syrup:
In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Add fresh basil leaves and simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and let it cool. Strain to remove basil leaves, leaving you with basil-infused simple syrup.
Prepare the Glass:
Wet the rim of a martini glass with a lemon wedge and dip into sugar.
Chill the Glass:
Place the prepared martini glass in the freezer to chill.
Make the Basil Infused Lemon Drop Martini:
In a
cocktail shaker
, combine vodka, triple sec, fresh lemon juice, and the basil-infused simple syrup.
Add ice cubes to the shaker.
Shake Well:
Shake the ingredients well for about 15-20 seconds.
Strain into the Glass:
Remove the chilled glass from the freezer and strain the cocktail into it.
Garnish:
Garnish the drink with a fresh basil leaf or a basil sprig for an aromatic twist.
Serve and Enjoy:
