1 sugar cube
3 dashes Angostura bitters
2 oz. Bourbon, rye or whiskey (use what you like best)
Cocktail cherry to garnish, optional
Add sugar cube to an old-fashioned glass. Soak with the bitters and muddle, then add the bourbon. Add ice – I like to use the trendy big ball of ice but you could certainly use a few regular ice cubes. Stir well. Twist the orange peel over the drink to express the orange essence, then drop into drink. Garnish with cherry, if desired.
