Today for happy hour is my go-to cocktail… a Pomegranate Martini.
I thought I would share with you the cocktail I’m famous for around the ‘hood. It’s a Pomegranate Martini but it’s been fondly named a “Ju-tini” (since my name is Judy) by my neighbor Joyce. I don’t think any of the ladies around here know it’s really called a pomegranate martini, they just ask for a Ju-tini.
My favorite brand of pomegranate juice to use is Pom and I prefer to use the Pomegranate Cherry flavor for this cocktail. Making this drink is really just like making a Cosmo, just switch out the cranberry juice for the pomegranate juice. I use a squeeze of fresh lime in my Pomegranate Martini but you can use lemon if you like. They both work well. And last but not least, a bit of Cointreau is in there as well, which I like better than Triple Sec, but have been known to use Triple Sec frequently as well (it’s cheaper!).
