Fruit Smoothie Popsicles

by Judy

Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

The weather’s getting warmer (down right hot if you live here in Florida like me) which means it’s time to start enjoying all sorts of cool summer treats, like these Fruit Smoothie Popsicles.

Fruit Smoothie Popsicles made with strawberries, bananas, orange juice and vanilla yogurtOnce a month I share a recipe I find from Pinterest with my friends at Made From Pinterest.  This month I made some popsicles from Simply Happenstance for my contribution and wanted to make them again to share them with you today.  The strawberry-orange-banana combination is one of my favorite combinations of fruit for smoothies so turning that combination into popsicle form was something I just had to make!

For these fruit smoothie popsicles I used frozen strawberries,  I always have them in my freezer. I like to let the frozen strawberries thaw a bit, makes it easier to blend. You could use fresh, juicy strawberries if you want.  Add a banana, some orange juice, vanilla yogurt (I used greek yogurt) and a little bit of honey or your favorite sweetener (if needed).  Once everything is blended, simply pour into popsicle molds and freeze.

Strawberry Orange Banana PopsiclesHow easy is that? This original recipe only made 6 popsicles but my mold makes 10 popsicles so I adjusted the amounts from the original recipe to make more.  More is better, right?  And there’s even a little bit leftover for you to enjoy while waiting for them to freeze….because, if you’re like me, you know you’re gonna want to “taste” it a few times to make sure it’s just right 😉

Time to dust off your popsicle mold, or you can buy one like mine here (affiliate link) if you don’t have one, and you’ll be ready to make these Fruit Smoothie Popsicles all summer long!  Think you might want an adult popsicle? Check out my Limoncello Pudding Popsicles, they’re perfect for summer too!
